Summary: Use this article to learn more about de-Lightâ„¢ blinds and understand how tightly to close them.

Body:

The de-Light feature is designed to achieve optimal light and privacy control when the slats are rotated in the downward position. Light control and privacy are limited when the slats are rotated in the upward position. Blinds with the de-Light feature provide privacy but not total light control. The slats may overlap, but they do not actually touch, especially near the bottom rail. To get maximum closure the bottom rail should just touch the bottom of the window sill.

Attempting to over-rotate the tilt mechanism for tighter closure may result in damage to components.
